You’ve received your Origami Owl starter kit…now what??? Host a Pop the Box Party! Follow these guidelines exactly. There’s no need to improve, embellish or alter. Remember KISS: Keep It Simple SISTER!
Prep Work
- Log into your new back office to determine when your kit is scheduled for delivery. It ships within 24-48 hours. Schedule your party date right away!
- Call your family and friends and invite them over to {Pop the Box} with you!
- Of course you can open your kit when it arrives because you will be excited, BUT, put everything back inside within the packaging! Remove 3 catalogs though, you need these!
- Print Hostess Rewards and Sponsoring Flyers (available in your Origami Owl back office and here. Talk to your mentor about Hostess Packets and have a minimum of 3 ready!
- Organize these flyers in a folder with a Take Out Menu (catalog) for each guest.
- Create some Mystery Envelopes – 12 envelopes with prize slips inside. Select inexpensive items for the majority of the envelopes (free charms). Create 1 envelope with a $20 gift certificate inside.
- Print out a calendar for the next 30 days. Mark off future Jewelry Bar dates with stickers or with a highlighter.
- Place the envelopes and your calendar in the {Party} area.

It’s Party Time!
Seat everyone in the living room or around a small table and {POP} the box!
- Pass out folders and instruct them not to open them yet.
- Ask a friend to be in charge of finding the items in the Take Out Menu.
- Pull out each item from your kit and pass it around. Have the last person add it to the table display.
- Ask the friend with the Take Out Menu to locate each item and read aloud the description. Repeat with all remaining products until the box is empty.
- Share the Hostess Opportunity: To launch my new business I need to hold 4-6 starter Jewelry Bars. We can do small mini Jewelry Bars with just a handful of friends. All you need to do is select one of my ‘training’ dates on the calendar. When you do, you also get to select a Mystery Envelope. Hostesses receive $100-$300 (or more) in free products just for helping me out! Get these dates down and pass out the Hostess Packets.
- Share the Opportunity of Joining the Team. Briefly share your why (the reason you joined Origami Owl). Have guests take turns sharing how they could benefit from additional income. Odds are your guests will probably be pretty excited after seeing the contents of your business kit…especially after hearing the sign-up cost! Send anyone interested home with an Opportunity Brochure (these are for sale in your Back Office) and make an appointment to follow up.
- Ask for a few Locket Ambassadors. These people will be your walking, talking advertisements! Offer a small discount or a free charm to anyone who would like to place an order right away. Be sure and send them home with business cards and a few Take Out Menus as well. Place your order within 48 hours so you can quickly get your guests their orders.
Follow Up
Ever heard the saying, the fortune is in the follow up? Well, it really is. Even if this is your closest group of friends and relatives it’s imperative that you begin the following quality customer care habits:
- Send out thank you cards to everyone who attended. These are in your kit for a reason!
- After the orders arrive, deliver them promptly and with excitement.
- Make sure everyone is pleased with their purchase. Call them a few days after you’ve delivered their items to make sure. The odds are they’ll order something else to add to their collection or book a Jewelry Bar if they didn’t before.
- Reach out to anyone who showed and interest in the Opportunity.
